I will too JJ, we should all have our dreams.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun with Star Trek. I liked Generations and Deep Nine Space Nine. Captain Picard -- was the best captain I think.

I still haven't watched Star Trek.

I wanted to be a policeman when I grew up, when I was younger. Get to carry a gun, chase down bad-guys, wear a badge and drive a fast car? Oh yeah. :D

What's with guys and fast cars? I've been driving with my dad lately, and he's always telling me that I need to speed up. I don't like going fast. It freaks me out because I feel like I can't control the car. Of course, I haven't been driving for very long. And it's really nerve wrecking when I'm driving with my dad because I never know what he's thinking. When he's not telling what to do, he just sits and stares ahead. He makes angry faces. Of course, he always does that when he thinks, even if he's not angry. And he also does it because of his dentures. He had really bad teeth and got his upper teeth pulled about 5 years ago. Ever since then he makes this weird face. But when I'm just starting out driving, and I see him making that face I don't think "Oh, he's doing the denture thing again." I just think "Oh, man, he's thinking I'm a really bad driver and I'm a complete idiot. Which of course he's not. But I'm already freaking out, and his faces make it worse. So when we get out of the car and he doesn't say anything I'm like "So.... how did I do?" And he just says "You're doing fine. Why?" I just want to scream. "Well, why can't you somehting when I'm actually driving instead of freaking me out?" Haha. Yeah. Driving with my dad hasn't been the most relaxing experience. I'm starting to get used to it though.

Anyways. I don't really like Picard all that much. Actually, I don't really like Next Gen. I used to love it, but after watching all seven seasons, and then my sister and my mom watching them over and over again, I kind of developed a disliking. I enjoy it once in a while, but I think I prefer Original Series. My favorite characters are Scotty and Bones. And I really like Enterprise. Though, I admit it's a little more worldy than the others. I've still never seen DS9 or Voyager. Neither of my parents like Capt. Janeway, and my mom's just never bothered with DS9. Though, she wants to get the first season and try it out.

But, ultimately, my favorite shows are Smallville and House M.D. My parents, being nurses, started checking out House because it's a medical show and most people seem to like it. And of course, the med kid(child of medical people) falls in love with the medical show. Plus, it's really funny. :P

I maintain a speed within the speed limit when I drive, but I guess I do enjoy going fast in Mario Kart or F-Zero when I play those. Guys have a built in love of danger and speed for the most part. Something like that ;)

Haha. I was teasing. I highly doubt all guys are like that. Actually, only one of my guys friends tends to speed. And most of the girls I know speed a lot. My sister speeds, and so does her best friend.

I liked your tale about driving with your Dad -- my mother gave up trying to teach me to drive and got me driving lessons -- back then we did not have drivers Ed. I think that is very hard for parents. :)

It always interest me how differently people feel about the various Star Treks -- well we can agree about Voyager -- Janeway was very bad indeed !

Well, haven't been here for awhile...time to get this back on topic although it is interesting that I am learning how to drive... should have license soon. Anyway, where did we leave off? Well, I will just start somewhere.

What date did Frodo and company set off from Rivendall?
Who was guiding them?
What was the name of the previous country that they were passing through?
What was Boromor's suggestion in the land?
Where did they decide to go?
What was the name of the mountain path they were aiming for?
What was the name of the three mountain peaks?
Who was knew the names of the peaks well?

Well, that is a good start. I am not sure what the answers would be for some of them due to not having the first book but I can look them up online if necessary. Enjoy!

What date did Frodo and company set off from Rivendall? A cold day near the end of December. I don't think it gives an exact date.
Who was guiding them? Gandalf.
What was the name of the previous country that they were passing through? Hollin.
What was Boromor's suggestion in the land? To carry wood with them up the mountains.
Where did they decide to go? To the mountains.
What was the name of the mountain path they were aiming for? the Redhorn Gate
What was the name of the three mountain peaks? Barazinbar, the Redhorn Gate, Caradhas.
Who was knew the names of the peaks well? Gimli.

I had to look the last two up. I could remember the Barazinbar one(that's a difficult name). And I couldn't remember if it was Gimli or Gandalf.
