Well in response to Oggy's sig, Jesus said that I am the Light of the World.
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
Remain encouraged my dear Christian brethen, darkness can never overcome the light.

Does anyone remember that song we sang as children ( well at least Baptist do ).
"I'm gonna let it shine, I'm gonna let it shine, that little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine."
I think far too often as adults we are afraid to let that light shine everywhere.
Thank you for your post Jonah, it is so true. The darkness will not overcome but we should remember to let our
light shine, someone may need it to find their way home.
Once again I am thankful for this fellowship of believers, for my friends here that have encouraged me and
have always shared that light for all to see.
I thank the Lord for you all.
""In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
For awhile each morning here -- I can spend some time here where there is light.

Indeed LES, it does seem that we tend to "hide" the light when we need to let it shine forth.

Yesterday morning I went through one biblical priority that we as a church must never neglect, the correct upbringing of children within Christian homes. I think that overall there are four but I shall share there key principles because I think that these can in someway be applied to general Christian living and witness.
Prayer
"Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
A person cannot save themselves, salvation is in the hands of God. Therefore in the light of this fact we must pray not only for our children but also for individuals as a whole.
Practice
We are to look for every opportunity to expound God's truth. Deut 6 contains a great verse which can be applied to family life and indeed life in general. We must always be on the look out to share.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Practice
We must practice what we preach. Simply proclaiming the truth is not enough, we must make sure that the biblical teaching we proclaim is so instilled within our hearts that our lives will indeed shine before men. It is the duty of the church to be different, to stand out and folk within our world can easily spot hypocrisy.
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

But you can put them in Italics and BOLD and yes I do agree, it does enhance the post.
Perhaps you would like to edit it and then it would look like you want. This is not my territory, Oogy and Himura taught me and I am sure you already know -- so if I say this wrong I am sorry, but I think you just add the HTML tags. for italics that sort of thing. I hope that is close to the right thing. I just know it works !
Beau had taught me a long time ago and I had forgotten.
Say guys can you believe I finally got it. I learn so much from all of you. ( well enough that I can do it
anyway )
That is a nice post thanks Jonah. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and I appreciate it more every day.
So Oogy I have been thinking about the dragons.
Wrath -- that seems the easiest place to start. Shades of black and dark gray and he should be large but not so powerful. Even as I write this more thoughts are coming to me. No wonder it is such a challenge to decide.

I agree with LES on wrath. Gluttony could be more larger and more roundish while having an unsaitable hunger. Feel free to change that around.

I really wouldn't know for sure. Mabye yellow but....I really can't decide on the "best" color. Mabye it should be a mix of colors although I am not sure which ones. Mabye some bright and somber ones....any ideas appreciated.
