You are really picking some good songs. I was so happy to see that as I like it very much and immediately clicked on that link but sadly they said that the video is no longer available :) Do you have the words perhaps. I have heard it 4 or 5 times and it is wonderful.

I think that you have learned and incredible amount, especially teaching yourself. That is not easy to do.

It must feel really good to be able to play such good songs and to be able to write your own.

I found the words, I will leave them here in case they might bless someone else.

"Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)"

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbid to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

You might try that youtube link again because it still works for me...

I've been practicing both of those two songs a lot recently. Making a lot of progress on them.

I also just won a CD on the radio just over an hour ago... that was fun lol.

Lots of interesting things happening lately.

Anyway, I'll ttyl.

Today, there is a memorial service for a couple that lost a baby. I'm not entirely sure what happened... I think the baby had been in and out of the hospital since its birth, and don't know the people. Being the guy that runs the sound system at church though, I'm going to go and make sure they've at least got a mic on and stuff.

Need to do some laundry today too...

Anyway, I'd better head out.

I am curious how you've been doing though, Les... you don't seem to be on here as much as usual lately.

You are always so thoughtful, how nice of you to do that.

Thank you for asking about me, I am fine it has just been terribly busy here. Our business has been keeping us busy and we have just finished what I call the end of summer chores. The garden is pretty much done. ( it got too hot and I was tired of it anyway ) and the hay is hauled for winter. The grass and weeds are growing slower now that the hot weather is here ( and oh my I dislike the heat ) and so for the first time in awhile we went to town very early and after we got home we just relaxed, watched a movie, read a little and now we are having some computer time. I did tell you I finally got a laptop didn't I, well HR has finally gotten him one as well and we do enjoy sitting comfortably and catching up on computer things. We even email each other -- you know, an interesting site or something. I seem to always be a bit tired when it is so hot !

I must say that the summer is going by very quickly. Almost August already, I am starting to think about the first breath of cool air early in the mornings. At least I can dream.

We did have a nice experience today. I miss shopping for school supplies for Lisa, I always liked that. A charitable organization here is having a fill the school bus drive for needy youth. HR and I both truly enjoyed picking out a sack of school supplies at Walmart, it has been awhile. things like that are great to donate to because all of the items go directly to children in need. We did enjoy picking stuff out.

Thanks again for thinking of me Oogy you are so kind and a good friend.

Oogy I am worried about you with this terrible storm moving through --- please let me know that you are OK.
We have internet this morning but I doubt we will when the rains hit this afternoon. You are in my prayers.

I'm fine, I'm not far enough south to be in danger I don't think. We're getting a little wind and a little rain, but nothing big really. I think the "eye" of the storm is going to pass over or near where I grew up though, but by then I doubt it'll still be a hurricane, so my parents don't seem too worried or anything.

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. Been busy I guess. Right now, I'm hoping that sometime in the not so distant future I'll be able to get a job up in Tulsa... so I've been looking into that.

My church here had a revival going on this week, which went well.

I had a great time on labor day weekend, went home and both my sisters, bro in-law, niece, one uncle, and grandparents from both sides were there. We had birthday party for my niece and then on Sunday surprised my parents with a party at the church he pastors for their 30th wedding anniversary and his 50th birthday(they got married on his 20th birthday). It was a really good time.

Not a whole lot else going on other than the usual stuff.

That sounds like a wonderful thing for your Mom and Dad and also for the church. What a special for everyone. That was a wonderful way to honor your family.

Tulsa, I did not know you were thinking of moving that way. Do you have a specific reason or just a place you want to live ?

The storm was pretty fierce here, I hope it was OK for you and the family.

I have a question. We have a problem with cell phone service here. A while back the man that installed our satellite for the internet was using a cell phone here in the house he referred to as a smart phone. He said that they use any cell tower they can find. Do you know anything about how that works. Our daughter has gotten one of those Blackberry Smart Phones like the curve. She just got it and has not been out since she got it. Do you know if the Smart phones use Sim cards ? Since you are in the phone business I am hoping you are informed !

It really is nice to hear from you Oogy. I do miss you when you are gone.

I actually don't know that much about phones. I really don't like them lol, I'm way more comfortable talking to someone in person... Anyway, my tech support is for internet service, so even though I talk on the phone all day I don't really know much about them.

My sister, niece, and bro inlaw live in Tulsa now, so it would be nice to be near them. I wouldn't really be much farther from my parents than I am here(just like another 30 minutes I think). I'm hoping, that I will be able to get a job at an engineering facility my bro in-law and his dad work at. Right now, just looking for something basically to get my foot in the door, but after a bit of training, think I would be able to get a job designing things on a computer. Which is something I'd really enjoy doing. Nothing certain yet, just something I'm looking into

The storm didn't get very bad here or near my parents. Where my parents live is normally fairly safe from stuff like that because it is very hilly and well forested.

Hopefully I'll be posting a little more frequently now... hopefully.
