Haha, I totally understand not liking to type with the Wiimote. I tend to get rather lengthy even with my Wii-to-Wii messages (as much as I can) and it does take a bit of time. The word list that appears as you type is often helpful though.

A friend of mine had a Wii, and a few weeks ago at one of our meetings for our Expo trip, he wanted all of my friends and I to make a little character so that whenever we came over we could play games. Well, when it came my turn to make a little person, I had a hard time keeping the arrow steady. And everyone was laughing at me because I was so shaky with it. But then I set it down and it was still vibrating. It was strange. So, it was really hard to set up my person because I was having trouble with the little arrow hand.... thing. Anyways, that's my Wii story.

I think he means the list of words that pop up as you're typing on the Wii. I've found that I type faster though if I'm not paying attention to it, so I turned it off.

Since there are wireless networks around here, I'm considering(haven't decided yet) not signing up for cable internet/tv and instead putting the money I would've spent on that bill towards a laptop. That way I could access the internet from anywhere and take my writing or homework with me anywhere. Plus it would give me something to do during my breaks at work lol.

As for school, OU still hasn't sent me my transcript :( so I haven't been able to get that all lined out yet.

Oh yeah, and I just switched my signature. This one is a line to a song I heard on the radio today. Not sure if it's a direct quote, but I like it because it pretty much sums up my life right now. Just a bunch of dreams with no way (in my own power) to make them happen, but I've got God here to help.

I like the new signature -- especially with your explanation.

Even though I realize it will probably take longer for that I must say it sounds like the best idea. A laptop with all the wifi would be perfect for you.

I do not see a list of words when I type but I am thinking that you two have the Opera browser -- I never did download it as I have no need for it. Other wise I have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the list of words.

Could one of you do me a favor and send a message to my Wii -- it can just be xxxxx -- it odes not matter - I have not even gotten a new Mii in my parade for a long time and I am wondering if it is working. I sent you a message Oogy did you get it ?

JJ sometmes that arrow just gets like that on my Wii -- usually I need to make sure that the connections are all good. It is very annoying -- I am sorry that happened to you because making Mii's really is fun. I really enjoy them and having sports teams of them is fun. I like the fact that the people bowl with their own Mii.

I use the word list for longer words (which I tend to use a lot), but for the short ones like all the ones I have put here so far, I just type it out fast enough.

So are you in the dorms Oogy? Or where are the wireless networks coming from? I realize that people don't always secure their networks (which isn't good) but using it technically is stealing, although some justify it by saying they deserve it because they haven't secured the network.

LES, the word list is when you're typing a Wii message to someone, it appears above the keyboard. Perhaps you had clicked it and turned it off but you should be able to make it appear again, or perhaps it's one of the buttons on the Wiimote, I don't recall. But it offers suggestions for the word you are typing as you go. I find it makes longer words go quicker.

Thank you Logan -- I will look into that as I have never seen a word list -- I must have accidentally turned it off. Now I am curious. I think I might like that.

I kept thinking about " stealing " someone else's signal. We are looking into getting internet via satellite.
We are still checking into it but it is leaning toward the likely side at the moment.

I am wondering how if Oogy is in his own apartment, using his own computer or or in this case his own Wii -- it is his air -- how could it be wrong to use it. I am not sure I have an opinion but I just do not see how that would be wrong. Now if you were lurking in your neighbors yard or hiding on their porch or something perhaps.

I do not know but it is a very interesting question. Since many places offer free wifi now -- isn't the air full of --
well wifi signals ? ( yes I realize I most likely said that wrong ! )

We are in a very low risk area but that is one of the things HR is reading up on before we make a decision.

Back when I used to watch Screen Savers they would do what they called war driving -- going around seeing whose network they could get into and then tell them they were vulnerable. It seemed to me at the time that the person in question is the one that is responsible for protecting themselves.

Some places have free WiFi. Like the place where my sister use to work. It was a Crepe's cafe near the local mall where I live, and most of the customers that came would stay for the longest time just to use the WiFi access. There was this one guy that came everyday with his laptop. Everytime I went to visit my sistter he was there. It was kind of funny.

People dp seem to enjoy those places, I see more and more places offering that -- even some of the
Mc Donalds ! People are playing games on the DS or using their laptops.
