Phew! Long day. I applied for a new SS card today(haven't found the old one yet :P). They told me it would come in 7-10 days, but the receipt says 10-14... so somewhere from 7-14 days lol. From there, I drove on to Durant and turned in my apartment application. They said they didn't need to have my SS card right then, but they wanted to get a copy of it as soon as it comes. They also said I would probably know on Monday whether or not I got the apartment. I may plan on moving in Tuesday if I get it. I'm not sure if I'll have internet right away or not. I probably won't at least for a couple weeks. Unless my parents are willing to pay to help me set it up, I'm probably going to have to wait until I get a job and a paycheck before I can afford to start paying bills that aren't absolutely necessary. I'm not looking forward to living without internet, but I can do it, I've done it before, and I might as well go ahead and bite the bullet. I'm not going to magically gather any more money sitting at home. Anyway, maybe living without internet for a while will give me time to focus on some other stuff, like making sure I get a job, and catching up on some reading, and spending some more time with the Lord. Hopefully I'll be smart enough to use my time for stuff like that lol.
Anyway, from there, I went and applied for a job at Walmart. I checked out a couple other places, but I didn't see anywhere else that was hiring(I asked at a couple that didn't have a sign up or anything just to see, but they weren't). So I've got two applications in now at places I know are hiring. I'm hoping for one of those to come through, but I also think that once I move to Durant it will be easier to explore and look around for more places that may be hiring.
Also, since today is Friday, that means it was time for me to write the first installment in the little Choose Your Own Adventure thing on my blog. Here's the link. Be sure to vote on what happens next!

These are exciting times for you -- I am very happy for you.
Well your thoughts about no internet are surely positive and of course you are right and I believe you will use the time well. Now enough about you :) My but I would/will miss you : ( I suppose I will just have to be brave. I suspect that your parents will/would miss you as well --- hmmmmmmmmm perhaps -- dare we hope --
maybe they will wish to keep in touch and extend you a loan !
I look forward to reading the story and voting -- I think it is a nice idea -- having the vote and all.
I do hope you hear about one of the jobs soon -- I know that you are anxious to get on with moving forward.
My my but things have changed since you have been here. God is good and I am so very happy for you.
It is a blessing knowing you Oogy.

I think that's a wise decision, to skip unaffordable things and live within your means :)
My employer right now, since I do tech support over the Internet, pays for my monthly Internet bill, which is very nice. He even insisted that I get the upgraded speed so I'm very content with what I have.
Well, I hope you get a job!

I think that's why my parents bought me a cell phone earlier in the year Les lol. My mom hardly ever uses the internet, my dad does though.
I'm glad you like the voting idea, and I see that Logan has already voted.
You're right, a lot has changed. God has done a lot in my life recently.
I got a call from Wal*Mart earlier. I've got an interview on Tuesday. So we'll see how that goes.

Hey good for you Oogy -- things are moving right along --- hmmmm a cell phone -- I guess they will not feel the need for internet then : ) Well you and Logan are of course right -- you should be responsible -- I will just miss you, but I want you to do the very best thing for you. Perhaps it won't be too long and of course -- you will have quite a lot to keep you busy.

I found out earlier today that I got the apartment. I'm planning to start moving in tomorrow. I'm already starting to load some stuff up in my trunk. I've also got that job interview tomorrow, so pray that everything will go smoothly for me tomorrow.

Just thought I'd make one last post before I pack up my computer. Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm able to get internet.
