Well good --- more Narnia discussions -- no I haven't even been to town since it was released -- I have heard that there is 2 choices -- a one disc and a 2 disc set -- do you know the differences or is that just a rumour ?
I am very happy to hear that you have the movie --- I do intend to get it and watch. I was so emotional the first time I saw it ( for several reasons ) that I look forward to watching it again --- it can never ever be as good as the first time I saw it though :)

Movies are never as good the second time because you al;ready know what happens and it's no surprise. And even though we knew the plot it was still amazing to watch the first time, and i was on the edge pf my seat. :) I do enjoy the movie so much!

Yes that is true --- but it is such a special movie. I am really looking forward
to seeing it again. I do love it when we first see the wardrobe. ( no matter where that might be :)

"I always thought the Magicians Nephew was the next book."
Nope, here's the order in which they were published and the order in which the movies will be produced:
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
The Magician's Nephew
The Last Battle
That was on the ACC site --- do you know if it is true ? The discussion was about the order they are making the movies.

JJ's post --- I moved from ACWW !!!
NOw I don't know about the movie order that they will make the movies but I do know that the book numbers is as follows(not in the order that they were published though)
1. The Magician's Nephew
2. The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe
3. The Horse and His Boy
4. Prince Caspian
5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
6. The Silver Chair
7. The Last Battle
That is the order that the books are in when they are combined together in one big book. ANd when you buy the books separatly that's the numbers that are on the side of the book.

Yes JJ that is the order my set of books are in -- I need to look up how they were published.
That seems a strange order to me, I need to check on that.

When they are numbered in the set yes, they are in the Chronological order as far as things happen in Narnia, but I'm pretty sure Magician's Nephew was the second to last published, and that LWW was published first. Aside from that I don't recall what order they were published in.
I know two people, one who has the special edition and one who doesn't and they said that the special edition merely had commentary and interviews with the director and actors etc but nothing extra as far as the movie goes. It's just extra information. Sort of like the appendices in the Lord of the Rings DVDs.

I remember saying something like this before, about the order I thought they would do the movies in. And my conclusion was almost exactly how you posted LES, except for perhaps the placing of The Last Battle, but everything else is in the places I'd imagined because of the ages of the actors and actresses and such. Sounds good to me!
Of course they'd want to save The Last Battle for last, that certainly makes sense!
