Sorry it's been so long since I've posted.
I hope you had a blessed Easter.
How is everything?

I soar without wings, I see without eyes.
I've traveled the world, but I've never left my home.

No worries JJ we have all been very busy. I know you have very little spare time.
Things are very good here and our Easter was truly wonderful.
How are you doing -- I have been thinking that you will soon have completed your first
year of college. Do you still intend to be a teacher ?

Let the redeemed of the Lord
say so

Good morning -- rainy and muggy here -- we have a freeze on the way -- what a crazy winter
and so far spring.

I check everyday but it has been awhile since any one visited.
I am getting Super Mario Galaxy 2 -- it makes me think of the days of old and
the fun we shared here.
Good morning.

Hey! It's been way too long since I've posted on here. Unfortunately, I'm about to leave the library, so I can't leave a very long message, but I'll try to remember to post a bit more on here soon... have been very busy lately.

Sorry, I know it's been a bit!
To answer your earlier question(way earlier), no I'm not going towards degree in English so I can teach. My future has been weighing greatly on my mind lately, and I've been talking with my parents about it a lot. Honestly, jobs in teaching are so scarce right now, English especially. And not just that, but I've realized that the English I enjoy the most is the fundamental basics that you learn in grammar school, but the English I have to take and get a degree in to teach is the English I hate! Plus, I've actually been discovering a great love for art. And I've been leaning towards that more than English. But I've decided to get a degree in nursing. It's a job that pays well, and there will always be a call for nurses. You wouldn't believe my mom's reaction when I told her my decision. It was like I had finally seen the light and crossed over. It was HILARIOUS! And then started to cry cause she was so happy. Anyways, I've always been interested in the medical field. Medicine has always been a fun topic for me, and I enjoy watching medical shows. I always thought I'd make a good nurse, and my parents have been trying to convince for the longest time. And when I was a kid I had wanted to be a nurse. Plus, I can still pursue art on the side while I'm working towards my degree. I figure I'll get my Associate's of Science first so I can find a job and support myself, but continue to go to school to work towards my Bachelor's. :)
Anyways, I finished my first year of college, which has actually become a bit of a waste now that I'm changing my major. But it was good practice to get into the feel of things :) And not all a waste. I took a lot of General Ed. that I needed. So, that's good at least.
Nothing new, really, that I can think of. I'm gonna start looking around for a new job. I hope to find something that pays a little more. I still work at Lane Bryant, I'm just looking around at other possibilities. I enjoy LB a lot, but retail is NOT for me. I'm thinking I might see if my sister's old job is hiring, Shella. It's a childcare agency for children with Autism and such. Employee's are called caregivers, and Shella sends the caregivers to the customers houses. It's almost like babysitting, but for the autistic and such. I wanted to try and find a job there before, but they weren't hiring. A friend of mine works there, and she says she thinks they'd hire me. But I'm gonna look around other places too. I work so little at my job, it's almost pointless. I love my co-workers though.
Other than that, nothing new. Just enjoying the summertime, though not the heat. HATE HEAT. Ugh. And the heat hit fast too. A week ago it was cool. The heat hit on Thursday or Friday. It was bad!
What's new with you? And hi, Oogy!

What a wonderful surprise, not one but two post.
Oogy I am happy and delighted to see a post from you. I did enjoy the news letter you
sent out and it sounds like you are doing some amazing things. I know the Lord will bless
you and I am delighted that you are engaged.
I must say I am very happy to see you post on Lilbro again. I really thought I had lost you
forever on here -- I do love to be wrong about some things.
How are your parents doing, I miss hearing about your family and your Dad's church.
That is pretty big news JJ, you too have surprised me. So you have decided teaching is not
for you after all. You are surely right about one thing, there is a need for good nurses. As
you know our daughter is an RN and she has really done well with her career.
I just want you to be happy JJ, and you will surely be choosing a career where you can help
people. Yes of course you can continue your education.
I am really happy you have decided what you want to do. That can be a hard to figure out.
How is your sister doing ? How are things at your church ?
Thank you both for posting, it was a big surprise and it made me very happy to see that
the two of you had stopped by. I have missed you both very much.
Welcome back : )

SOOOO Much has been going on lately, I don't even know where to start...
I recently got a job in insurance sales. I've been doing a ton of stuff to get licenses and such and also just to get training through the company I'll be working for. In the last month, I have done two 20 hr courses each followed by a state exam, a full 40 hr week of classroom training, at least 30+ hrs of online training, another 8 hr licensing course followed by a test plus countless hours of studying, etc... not to mention the rest of "life" hasn't stopped just because I got a new job. But I'm ready to start "field training" tomorrow. I am now licensed to sell Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, and Annuities in the state of Wisconsin.
Oh! And I'm leaving for Ireland in about a week...
Our team leave a week from Tuesday to fly to Dublin from O'Hare. Then drive up to the north side of Ireland - north of Belfast. We'll be there for 11 days working with missionaries and churches in the area and also doing some school assemblies(and actually teaching some classes in the schools but basically using the Bible as the textbook) and some street ministries.
It's going to be an incredible experience, and I feel pretty blessed to have the opportunity to be one of the leaders on this trip. I can't wait to see how God works both in the lives of the people of Ireland and in the lives of the students going(and of course in us leaders too!). I am expecting great things, and I've come to know that when you expect great things of God, He delivers.
I've thought this in the past too, but I should be able to take some college classes this fall as well. I won't be full time, but should at least be able to take a couple of courses. I'm in the final stages of getting that lined out, and at this point it partially depends on how things go with the job and how God provides financially in the coming weeks... but I'm feeling pretty confident about it.
As you can probably tell, life has been pretty crazy the past few weeks with all of the job stuff going on, preparing for my missions trip, all the church activities, graduation stuff(since I work with the juniors, seniors, and college kids of the youth group), and still trying to spend time with Jacqueline when she's not working.
I am hoping to send out another newsletter sometime in the next 9 days(before I leave for Ireland), but with how things have been, I'm not making any promises ;)
Hopefully there will also be one after I return.
My parents are doing really well :) They had VBS at their church this past week and I think that went well. My mom is teaching summer school, and my dad is still counseling during the week(though he works at a different place now). They're both busy as always.
Hi to you too, JJ! :)
It's cool to come back and get a little update from both of you as well... It would be easier to make this a more frequent thing if I had internet access at my house, but unfortunately I don't yet.
