Actually my first shift is today!! I'm really excited to be working!!. I'm really nervous. I keep freaking out about "what if I'm late" or what if I do something wrong. Then keep thinking "relax!". Ha ha!
I won't be able to go to rehearsal everyday, but I"m still able to be involved with the plays. Which is nice.

I soar without wings, I see without eyes.
I've traveled the world, but I've never left my home.

Well, not working a lot of hours because I'm new. And because, officially I'm only a holiday season hire. But the manager told me I'd most likely be able to stay on if I do well. Most seasonal hires quite after the season.
I've only worked on day. My next shift is on Saturday, and it's a four shift, five to close. I'm very excited!! My first shift went really well, both ladies told me I was doing great. And I really enjoy the work! I love helping the customers. Which is most of the job. A lot of the job is also unloading the clothes, hanging them up, folding them, putting sensors on them and such. Which I also enjoy. If there's not rush, it gives us coworkers time to chat a little and get to know eachother. Which is nice :) I don't have any negative things to say about work so far, which is probably a good thing :) I doubt I will.

That is excellent JJ, you still have time for school and perhaps to work with the drama kids. I know you will be a very good employee. They are lucky to have you.
Have you read any more of Brisinger ?

I've been trying to commit to reading it a bit everyday. But it gets rather difficult. It's really just not keeping me interested. But I'm sticking with it. I'm sure I'll be able to get to the point where it gets better. I don't think it's just Brisingr either. I've been having trouble reading a lot of things lately. I think it's just a growing phase. My tastes are changing, and my thought process.

I would imagine that is true, reading may just not be your thing right now, you do have quite a lot going on.
I am always reading something, but sometimes I won't pick up a book for several days.
I just finished the David Rain series and I read all 5 books very quickly, it seemed I could not put them down.
It kept me from games and even time on the computer. I take it by spells.
It did take me quite awhile to get into Brisinger though, and maybe you have lost interest. I did not think I was going to like it but some pretty interesting things do happen.
If not now perhaps you will wish to finish it later.
Now that you are working that should make a difference as well.
Do you have a nice break at Thanksgiving ?

Good morning, what a beautiful day it is -- clear, cool, and a little breezy. I think I will get
outside and enjoy it since the rain comes back this weekend.
Good morning to all.

I'm sorry!! It has been rather busy!
Yeah, it's hard to read anything right now! I'm loving work though!! My boss and I have bonded really well, plus I had made friends with her before she hired me. So, I really enjoy working with her. We actually have a lot in common. We both love trucks, we both enjoy a lot of the same music, we both adore MUSICALS!! Apparently she grew up on them. We started talking about them, and it was so funny!! She'd say something like "Oh my absolute favorite- and you'll appreciate this- is the Sound of Music" And I'd be like "OH MY GOSH I LOVE that one!!!!!!" And that went on and on. It was like two little kids talking about their favorite toys. It was hilarious!! She's a little bit more of a tomboy like me. Trucks and motorcycles and boots and stuff. It's fun!! I really love that we get along so well. And she's so sweet, and talkative. And a little bit absent minded. Though I'm not surprised about that. Apparently I tend to attract those people. Most of my girlfriends are that way. And both my sister and my dad are that way. My mom and I were laughing about it earlier this evening. "We're just magnets for absent minded people" we agreed. LOL!
A woman called me Ma'am at work the other day. Kind of weird. I'm thinking "Ma'am? I know I look older than I am, but not that much!" One of the customers I helped last night thought I was married... Yikes! Thinking about marriage and having kids just freaks me out right now! I'm too young!!! I have so much of my life to live before I'll be ready to even think about meeting a guy, let alone settling down with someone. I'm way not ready for a relationship or anything! I want to have my independent years on my own before I settle down.
There was this really interesting lady at work last night. Sometimes we get customers who are just very comfortable with people, and, in the words of Sara, have no shame(Sara used to be like that, A LOT!) This lady was like that. She came in looking for a bra, and of course I was the one who helped her. And she actually had me come in the dressing room with her, which was weird. I mean, my sister, who has worked at Lane Bryant a little while longer, told me that you'll get several customers who are fine with that. But, being new at working as well the store, it was a little awkward. And the aldy actually had me help get in and out of the bras. And she was very comfortable and open, didn't care about being topless. Really, really awkward for me! But I did my best to be polite and not show how uncomfortable I was. She was a sweet woman, probably in her late 60's I think. Maybe a little older. And we chatted while we searched for the right bra for her. The ass. manager who worked with me told me that I probably shouldn't have stayed in the room with her all that time, but when I explained to her that the lady really wanted help putting the bras on adjusting them, and she just wasn't sure how to go about finding the right bra, she told me it wasn't that big of a deal. I felt kind of weird about it though. I think I worked with the woman for nearly two hours. And after all that she didn't buy one. But she did put one on hold, and earlier today(before I went in for my shift) she came back and bought two bras as well as Spanx (which are types of pantyhose). I felt bad for the woman, though. Her husband died, sometime in the last couple years I think, and she lived alone with her dog. My ass. manager said the reason she probably wanted me to help her and talk to her so much was because she was lonely. :( Kind of sad.
