What a surprise, I was very surprised to see that you had stopped by WoN and even more surprised to
see you here. What a wonderful surprise it is too. It has been far far too long Himura and I have thought
about you and wondered how you are doing. You must be getting close to graduating from college now.
I do hope you can stay around some. We might need more than one topic again. JJ has been great
keeping me company and Oogy is still around too.

Everyone has done so well, I know that you are all busy but it is so nice to hear from you and now I
look forward to a nice how you are doing post. I stay in touch with Logan so it would be quite
nice to hear about the folks in your part of the world.

JJ I do hope you get and can find time to read Brisingr. I will be eager to start that discussion.

Congratulations on the truck, I know that is really what you have wanted all along. I love driving a pickup truck. I had to smile at the sore knees part. We have two trucks and I am hardly ever in a car so that is what is odd for me -- getting in a car seems very awkward. HR's truck is a 3/4 ton Dodge, you must have the running boards to get in it. It is like mountain climbing. Both trucks are 4 wheel drive so they are a bit higher anyway.

Did you ever read that Redwall book JJ ?

Good morning to everyone, it this is a great way to start October, a surprise visit from and old friend.

I am now playing the knew Mario and Luigi Boswers Inside Story, It is a lot of fun, there is a dual story line
and the Bowser story plays out on the top screen. I am really enjoying it, with the DSi I am enjoying
DS games much more again. There is a character in the Bowser story that calls Bowser Mr Turtle Bits.
For some odd reason I find that so funny.

I have started a new series of very interesting dragon books, I will have to tell you about them. Right
now I need to get out and do chores, it is due to start raining soon. We got our hay hauled yesterday
and it is all safe and will stay nice and dry in the barn.

I will have to join in the Brisinger discussion. I own it and am wondering what the next book in the series will be like. I am not done with college for another year or so, maybe longer depending on the education recession cuts here in California plus I might go for a masters in Computer Science. It was a huge but pleasant surprise to read that Oogy got married.

Do you remember our earlier talks Himura, about Eragon and such. I really do want to talk about what
happened in Brisingr. I had the book around since it was released and since I did not care that much
for Inheritance so I just did not get in a hurry to read it. I was quite surprised when I got into Brisingr
how interesting I thought it was. I do not want to say anything that will spoil the surprises for JJ. I can
surely say speculation about what might happen in the last book is a very interesting topic. The situation
with the Menoa ( I hope that is the right spelling ) tree has me very concerned.

Another year, well that does not seem very long to me. I know Logan is going for his Masters Degree
this year.

Do you ever see Panther, how is he and what is he doing now ?

Do you have time for any video games Himura ?

JJ did you get Brisingr back yet and are you reading ? I really want to have our discussion about it !!!!

We have a Brisingr topic at Won but I would like for JJ to join in if she is going to read the book soon.

Funny you should mention Redwall, as my friend Cody was just mentioning it on Facebook, and I commented that I need to pick that up again. So many books, so little time...

I have been able to get a hold of my friend who has my copy of Brisngr... :( She's been restricted from her computer by her parents because of low grades(she's a high school student, 11th grade). And her sister is a good friend too, my age, but I haven't seen her in a month. Every time I text her about hanging out, she is busy. So I don't know what to do. Jessica(the girl who has my book) never answers my texts, and I'm guessing her parents also restricted her form her phone. And Danielle, is always busy. I'm sort of stuck. On Tuesday I was thinking I would go to Calvary(the high school) early before their classes end, and see if I can catch Jessica before she goes home, and remind her to bring the book. I would go on Monday. But my classes on Monday's and Wednesdays are later in the day, and I can never get there before their school days ends.

I'm very happy with my truck :) It's awesome!! And it's so much nicer than my Buick. And for only being an extended cab, the backseat is fairly spacious as long as you don't have really long legs. Thankfully most of the people who might be in my truck riding with me do not. My truck is a Pre-Runner, so it is fairly high. At least higher than my previous truck two years ago, which was only a regular cab, four cylinder. But my truck is also only two wheel drive, not four. Which I'm glad about. I don't go off-roading or anything, so the four wheel drive would be kind of pointless for me.

Funny story: A couple hours ago, I was hopping into my truck, to run and get some dinner. And as I sat down a received a text from my friend. So I read it and replied and as I pushed send, I pulled the door closed, and crushed my pinky toe :( I didn't realized that it was resting between the edge of the door and the frame, just under the hinge. OW! I told my friend about it and he said "Your crushed it in the door? Wow, you have serious skills!" HAHA! I don't know why that's funny, but it is! I mean, how am I skilled cause I caught my toe in the door? Because it was just one toe?

I was playing with my former DS yesterday. Did I ever tell you that I didn't end up selling it to my friend? I talked abotu selling it to him, and he gave me a price, but after a couple months I never heard back from him if he still wanted it or not. And then my sister asked me if she could it buy it from me. So I sold it to her haha! She likes Mario Kart. But she broke one of the hinges, so now she won't play it... lame. I don't understand why that would hinder her. You can use it just fine. It's not like it's disconnected or you can see the screen. the hinge is just a little loose, and if you put it past about 90 degree angle, if falls a little. But you can still see it fine, and it doesn't do anything. It just doesn't sit at the specific angle she wants it to. Big baby... :P Haha! She's ridiculous sometimes. So I was playing it yesterday, and she got mad at me. Then when I gave it back, she just tossed it aside... I don't get her.

On a last note, I wanted to ask you to pray for a few friends of mine. Firstly my friend Cody, who I mentioned before, and who was the one I was texting with about my toe. He's been having some pretty rough times with school, and just been overwhelmed with all the work, and with the play. He has one of the lead roles. And he's been a little lacking in memorizing his lines. The performance is next week. And on Wednesday Mrs. Taylor basically basically rebuked and insulted him about it in front of everyone. And I could just see it on his face later in the rehearsal that he was just sort of feeling broken inside. That night I wrote him a letter of encouragement and some advice. I've been through times like that, and I know that the best possible help you can get in those times is just a hand, someone showing love and care and comfort. He told me the letter helped him a lot, and we've been talking, and I'm constantly encouraging and praying for him. I just think he needs a lot of prayer :) So I'm calling on my very good friends who I know will pray :)

One of the other friends is Sara's mom, Kelly. She recently got a ticket while driving in LA for outdated registration on her car, which actually isn't her fault in the first place. her ex-husband is supposed to pay for the registration because it's in his name, but her refuses. Anyway, she paid the ticket, but apparently it didn't go through because she didn't go back up to LA to deal with, she paid for in at a local court. So I drove her up to one of the LA courthouses today. And they said we had to go to a different one. So we went to that one, and the lady at that court said she had to go into Downtown LA in the Metropolitan area and deal with it there. The papers she had gotten said that if she failed to deal with the issue her license would be suspended. We didn't have time to go all the way to downtown, because we had to get to rehearsal. Then the traffic on the freeway was horrendous and took us more than twice the normal time. So we were almost two hours late. Than Sara kept texting her about money for a costume she was working on for the play(she works with a friend who owns a costume shop). And then she had to call the phone company cause she was having problems with her phone bill and such(that one eventually turned OK, the only thing during the day that actually went OK). Then we got to rehearsal and everything was OK. Until Sara came by with the costume, and her boss had chopped and changed it when Sara had walked away from it, changing her original design. So everyone was all frustrated with that. Finally after rehearsal, Kelly was supposed to go to the Homecoming football game, but she couldn't bring herself to go. So I drove her home, and on the way, her husband, who she'd been trying to get a hold of for an hour, called her from the football game. He hadn't told her he was going(he never tells her anything, pretty much). There was something else involved, I didn't get the whole story behind that. But she started crying on the phone with him, and she hung up, and just sobbed the rest of the way home. I felt so bad. So I just but my hand on her arm. She's been going through some difficult stuff lately, with finances, and the play, and the junior high cheer(she's a coach), her ex-husband, and her husband. It's been a lot. And I think she just needs some time away from everything to relax. She just needs some help, and a lot of prayer :)

Well, it's almost midnight, so I gotta go to bed. :)

Goodnight!!!

PS: I sent you an email about it, GL, but I finished The Hobbit!! Finally!! Haha!

PPS: I had to cut my message in half and send it in two pieces because it was too long :

That is quite a post JJ, it is hard for me to believe how complicated life can
get. I like to keep things simple if possible. I am hope all is well with your
friend.

I will of course be praying as you ask.

Since you did find the Redwall book that got us started, HR has now read
all 20 something of the books, I just keep wondering what you think.

Brisingr first of course -- I do think you are going to be pleasantly surprised,
it is actually quite good. Is there any news on getting it back ?

Good morning JJ, I must go feed but I have been thinking of you, it is very very cool here now and rainy. It is supposed to be in the 30 tys Sunday morning.

Do you get a holiday Monday ?

I'm the same way. My motto is "Simplicity". When things get too complicated, it just gets messy. Thank you for your prayers. Cody is doing much better :)

I ran into my friend randomly the other day who has my Brisngr. She said she would try to remember to bring it to school and give it to me when I get there for Rehearsal. I didn't see her today. I'm hoping I will tomorrow :)

It's been getting a lot cooler here, thank goodness!!! I'm loving it! :D

Holiday on Monday? I don't know. Oh, it's Columbus day... Hmm. I don't know. I haven't heard anything about a holiday. That'd be nice though :)

I had a midterm in History today. It felt like it went pretty well. It was pretty easy. Plus, the professor allowed us to have one 3 by 5 card for the test with any notes we wanted if we could fit it. :) So that was easy! I can't write pretty darn small :)

Our play is this weekend!! And tomorrow is the final dress rehearsal. The past three days have been so hectic!! On Monday Mrs. Taylor. was having some chest pain and back pain and one of the mothers took her to the doctor, who admitted her into the hospital. She has heart disease, and they were worried she was gonna have a heart attack. So Danny(guy who graduated with me last year, and other asst. director) and Kelly(Sara's mom who always helps with the plays) and I were left to run rehearsal alone. Well, one thing about Kelly is when she's the type who really takes control to the point of screwing everything up! She was changing all these different things and really making EVERYBODY mad, including Danny and Me. But I can't tell her that because she relies on me. So frustrating! Then at the end of the rehearsal as I was walking out the door and I heard Danny saying to a few people, "Well, I'm the one who has to replace Mrs. Taylor because I'm the only one who can do it." Which REALLY made me angry. Cause I'm like "Well, what am I? Chopped liver. I'm been here just as much as you have, if not more. I've been fully committed to the point of this comes before everything except school. And what about Kelly? We all make up for her absence, not just you taking over for her." I was so mad. Then God kicked me... Haha! I turned around and shoved open the door in front of me really hard. And one of the students was on the other side ab out to open it and I hit her! I felt horrible... And of course the first thing she says is "Oh, I'm sorry!!" Which makes me feel worse. And I'm like "Why are you sorry, I'm the one that hit you! I'm so sorry, are you OK?"

Then yesterday, everything's going good. We run in to some trouble spots with the students, but it's not too bad. Halfway through rehearsal we stop for Dinner and Danny and Cody are talking about leaving. About a month ago they told me that they were going to a concert for one of their favorite bands. And that it was on a dress rehearsal night. And I told them that it would be a big mistake if Cody were to leave a dress rehearsal. Mrs. Taylor would NOT be happy. But of course, they don't listen. They're guys. And they don't care what I think. So they're getting ready to leave and I say, "Are you serious? That's tonight. And you're actually going. During a dress rehearsal. While Mrs. Taylor is in the hospital?" And Danny just shrugs and with that "whatever" tone says "Yeah." And they left. And pretty much everyone was not happy about that. They both know better. Later Benjamin(Mrs. Taylor's son, and Cody's best friend) comes up to me and asks me what I think and we're talking about the two leaving. Then he tells me that when Cody asked Mrs. Taylor about leaving a few weeks ago, she said no. And I said to him "You're kidding? Wait, you're not kidding. Seriously? I can't believe him! They both know better. I mean, I'm angry at Cody, but I'm really mad at Danny. He's encouraging bad behavior and he's supposed to set an example!" I was furious. Today I discovered that Ben didn't know the whole truth. Mrs. Taylor had told them they couldn't leave because she thought the rehearsal ended at 8:30, but then they told it ended at 7:30. She disagreed and they went back and forth about it. She then told them that if it did indeed end at 7:30, then she supposed it was such a big deal if they left. She wasn't happy about it though. And then when they asked Kelly about it last night, she gave them permission. I'm still angry that they did decide to leave. There will be other concerts, you know? But this is a play that they won't get to do again with all the same people. And Cody definitely needed to practice. He still had some trouble with lines.

After that whole ordeal, there was a point where Kelly was changing a specific movement that everyone was really getting mad at her about. If you've never read A Midsummer Night's Dream it's a three part story with all parts intertwining. And one of the stories concerns the King and Queen of the fairy world(not married, seperately king and queen). Well, there is one point where the Fairy king is speaking with his attendants in the forest. He says "But who comes here? I am invisible! And will overhear their conference!" And he does his own little funny movement to turn himself invisible, but it doesn't work and the people see him. So he runs away. Well, Kelly wasn't liking the way he did it. He would clap with his foot up on his other knee, kind of looked like this: http://comps.fotosearch.com/comp/JCE/JCE142/young-pregnant-woman_~8583.jpg. Then he would crouch down low and do this swirling motion with his hands. It's hysterical all together!!! But Kelly wanted him to spin around because she thought he was saying "I will TURN invisible". So she thought he should turn. The first time she told him, he didn't quite get it. Btu when we ran again later she stopped them and told him to incorporate it. And a couple of the kids starting saying things. "Like it's fine that way it is. That's how Mrs. Taylor wants it." "That's dumb, why would he do that." Basically undermining her authority. And even though they were right, they were totally out of place. Well, it made her mad so she left and went to the drama room(we were practicing in the sanctuary where our show will be held). So I was left to run the rehearsal by myself the rest of the night. And after wards I had a talk with them about keeping comments to themselves and if they really felt it needed to be side, coming to us individually not shouting it out for the world to hear. And both the people who did that personally apologized to Kelly. Which was really sweet.

Today's rehearsal, however, went really well! And I ran the whole thing by myself!! We were back in Mrs. Taylor's room, because their is church at night on Wednesdays. And the whole time Kelly was running around helping with fixing last minute things, and sewing and stuff, and Danny was painting sets. So, for almost the entire thing, I directed. Which was cool :) But also a little frustrating. Especially when people don't listen. But it was fun! No problems, no mess ups. Everyone did great and I'm really confident that when Mrs. Taylor gets back tomorrow(she had an angeogram and they found no clotting, Thank GOD!! She was released yesterday, and will return to school tomorrow). And the performance on Friday will be great!! I'm excited!! I'm just hoping that everything that happened today will stick through for tomorrow, and Mrs. T won't be disappointed.

I have so much to write lately! Then after the play it'll be down to comments like. "It's been really cool. Working on reading Brisngr. Talk to you later". Lol. :)

This took three posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be back for a more proper answer.

You are really doing great JJ, I am very proud of you.

Goodnight for now.
