Yeah, I think I do like studying mostly online. It's easier to work at home without people all around you. But it also tends to lead toward procrastination. Which I do sometimes. I'm trying not to fall into that though. I've been working to get all my work done without waiting till the last minute, but just pacing myself. And it's been going fairly well :) So, yeah, I like the hybrid class :)
Well, the weather hasn't improved as much as I thought it had. But it is getting a little cooler. Lately I've been getting cold in the house, which isn't normal. I'm taking that as a good sign. I actually used a blanket today, while I was sitting watching TV. Of course the air was on, thought only at 78-ish, and the fan was on high. But still that's not normal. So I think the worst of the heat is over. Hopefully I don't Jinx it, haha.
I'm glad that Brisingr has taken some interesting turns. I will definitely try to finish it sometime. After I finish Pellinor :) And yeah the Riddle is really interesting. :) I really like the characters. I think the author is very talented in showing personality traits. :)
Hah! I forgot about all the smileys :D I should find some of those again.
I had a pretty relaxing labor day weekend I guess. Went to a football game on Saturday, our team won. Had a very good time at church. And afterwards got to watch and smile and laugh at my friends baby, Caleb. Who is the cutest little boy! I love kids :D Babies are so sweet. Just a smile from a baby can lighten any bad day :)
Actually, I forgot that Monday was labor day, and ended up getting up early, driving to school, and didn't realize there were no classes until I saw the parking lot was empty. I drove back home, and crawled back into my very comfortable bed. Haha :)
I just made tea. I think I wanna read too. Rather than watching any TV. I don't have anything to do, and I really don't feel like staring at a screen. I think I'll turn on some music, sit down with my lemon tea and the Riddle and read until I start falling asleep. I love falling asleep while reading :) Even thought it's a really bad waste of electricity... hehe. :D
Good night :)

Did you really go to school on a holiday -- -- That is funny JJ.
It sounds like you have settled in to college life very easily and I love the idea of the online classes.
I will let you know when I finish Brisinger -- but it seems to be taking some interesting turns.
Pellinor is a very special experience. They are truly among my favorite books.
It is good to know that your weather is improving. Ours is still OK but it is a bit warmer now. I am looking forward to having those chilly days of fall.
Settling in and reading with a nice cup of Chamomile tea sounds good, lemon tea sounds good too.
Choices choices.
Goodnight JJ

Well, I would have had Earl Grey tea but it has a lot of caffeine(being a black tea). A week and a half ago my sister and I went to see a doctor who has this program to help lose weight. There's a type of pill you take to control hunger and appetite. It's kind of like calorie counting, but easier. You count fat content instead. Only a certain amount of fat each day. And you document everyhting you eat everyday, and any exersize you get. And I've already lost some weight. So I'm really excited about it. And I've totally noticed the difference in my hunger. Usually I'm pretty much always in the mood to munch on something, but on this hunger prohibitor(thing...) I barely feel like eating at all. One day I forgot to take the pill in the morning and I was constantly wanting food. I munched on a lot of watermelon that day. No fat :) Anyways, the point of telling you all that was I can't have caffeine with the pill cause the pill, plus B-12 energy supplements I'm supposed to be taking, the caffeine would be to much. So have to drink de-caf teas. Anyways. :) It's been really good. I was so reluctant to see the doctor. My mom's been talking about it all summer. Then she finally made me go. And I'm really glad I did. I've felt really good. And I've lost weight. And I don't eat even half as much as I usually do. Which makes me so happy!!
Oh, I just remembered I have de-caf Early Grey!! YES!! I like Chamomile too. Especially since no caffeine. But I can't drink it a lot because it's really sweet. :) Lemon tea is good with honey. I wish I could find Jasmine tea with no caffeine. I love Jasmine! Two years ago when I went to China, my favorite store I found in the mall just outside the border was a little tea shop. As well as having tea sets, and pots, and nice chopsticks and such you could also by dried leaves and things to make tea with. So good! OoLong and other names I can't remember. But my favorite was the dried Jasmine. SO GOOD! And it smells wonderful!
It was a lot cooler today. Though my car still gets really hot. But that's not unusual. :)
Have a good night!! :) Tomorrow is Sara's Birthday :) She's going to be 20. It's so weird...
Goodnight, GL :D

That is very interesting JJ, I thought you lost a bunch of weight with weight watchers though.
I have friends that have gone to a similar sort of doctor here and they loose weight but all of them have gained it back when they quit going. I do hope your situation works out better.
Yes Earl Grey Decaf taste good but I do not get it. I drink EG early in the day and then switch to
Chamomile in the afternoon and evening. We have several varieties of herbal tea I like. I like lemon
too. So you do not like your tea sweet. I do -- I use Splenda and with some tea honey but I like it sweet.
My all time favorite is Bigelow's Earl Gray -- not just any Earl Gray mind you.
Wow -- 2 years since the trip to China -- how could it have been that long.
We have friends in the UK that send us tea and HR really likes the Yorkshire Tea.
We have been watching fat content for years -- we now do not even like high fat foods. I love
watermelon and cantaloupe. We eat lean chicken and only the low fat health smart margarine. Not much
of that. I love fruits and vegetables and lean meat and melon. I am gald you are doing all of this now
since it just gets harder the older you get.
I am going to go and play my games for awhile -- I still like gaming as much as ever.

We were doing weight watchers for a while. But whole family had a hard time with it and after a while we sort of just let it go, I guess.
I do put sweetener in my tea, a little. A lot more than I used to. But as I've growing older, my tastes have changed a lot, and I do not like really sweet things as much. Some things I like still that are really sweet. But tea, not so much. I like honey in my tea sometimes too. With lemon it's really good!
The good thing about watching fat content is that a lot of food that I really like and will eat everyday and not get tired of it is low fat or even no fat at all. Especially fruit! I LOVE FRUIT!! So much, and Chicken is already low on fat. I've been eating more vegetables too, and in the past year or so I've actually starting like more vegetables than I did, and so it's made this much easier. I've been having nor problem with eating normally. My normal everyday food that I was eating before actually wasn't high in fat either. I mean some dinners my mom makes probably are. But the sandwiches I usually eat are not. Especially since I eat them with wheat bread, and very little mayo, more mustard and lots of pickles and tomatoes and lettuce or spinach(i love spinach). If I could eat onions I would, but my parents can't stand onions. The smell even makes them sick. So I can't eat them :( Sadly. I love onions! My sister though, is having a hard time in this program. She's a BIG red meat eater. Jack in the Box and Taco Bell is everyday food for her. And she's not very fond of sandwiches. She's getting really frustrated. She also one of the pickiest eaters ever! She hates vegetables. So lately all she's really been eating is fruit, or just not eating at all. She decided to get through this she'd have to have just on day a week where she could cheat and eat a hamburger or something from taco bell. Just one day where she could eat her normal food. I don't think that's wise. But to each his own I guess. I think she just needs to get over her picky-ness and just eat sandwiches, and veggies more :) They're good for her!
I can't find my Hobbit game... It was on my desk, and now it's not... Stink :(

I think you are right JJ, that 1 day of junk food could throw the whole thing off and it lets you keep the craving going. We switched to the low fat and healthy fat only lifestyle years ago and we find it is good and easy.
One thing to be aware of though -- you do need some healthy fat. For us it is Olive Oil in very well monitored
quantities. I love mustard on sandwiches and I love pickles too. I think you should do good with this. We only buy wheat bread and I love it. You are surely in a good place to get the fresh fruit !
It is easy to convert most recipes to low fat but I do not use recipes much :)
I am really sorry that Steph does not like the low fat food -- I think it is so good.
I do not eat that many sweet treats but I do like Splenda in my tea :) Honey and lemon sometimes.
I guess you and I are lucky that we like lean chicken so much. We get a 99% fat free smoked turkey lunch meat at Sams that is wonderful.
I also eat the FF Yogurt and love it. I get the creamy vanilla ( as well as many others ) and mix fruit
in it -- very very good. I think I go and have that for breakfast.

Yeah, definitely. We sue olive oil in cooking. I was making hash browns a while back, that's what I used to fry them :) And they were good!
Mmm, we had watermelon last night! So good :D
I know! I feel bad for her. I really like the low fat foods. I mean growing up I always loved turkey(thanksgiving is the best!) and then Istarte dliking chicken more and more. And I've always loved fruit of course. And I was never opposed to veggies. I've always liked salad.
Actually I'm not very fond of yogurt. All yogurt has this weird aftertaste. I can't really describe it but I really don't like it. It's weird. I do love oatmel though! :)
Some of my girlfriends spent the night last night, and we're all going to church together! Yay! :)
Talk to you later.

The Olive oil is a slightly different taste but it is easy to get used to.
It is too bad for Steph, I find the lowfat life style quite good.
Yogurt and a whole wheat piece of toast with a little honey is a favorite breakfast -- with a cup of tea of
course.
Sounds like you had a good time this weekend.
Can you believe I am actually tired of the rain -- it has been raining for 4 days and supposed to rain 3 more
days at least. At least the weather is cool if wet.
We are having our evening tea and it has been a long day, I think I will read awhile.

It was very cool and breezy yesterday :) I loved it!!
You could always send that rain over my way!! I wouldn't mind! :D
Yes, we had a lot of fun! Eating chili, watching movies, chatting, and talking about past jokes and such. While the girls watched Chicago, I proofread and edited Sara's paper for her class. Then the girls put in "The Great Mouse Detective" and watched it while I cleaned and made their bed up for them. that movie is so cute. I haven't seen it in so long. It was fun to listen to it in the background, and remember the scene going on. Then the next morning we all went to my church together. And the pastor and his family were all gone(which means half my church, including all the younger people). So, it was just us four girls and the older people of my church(which I think kind of made the girls feel a little weird cause they were expecting Colin and Kailey and Sam and Emily). But we enjoyed ourselves. Our secondary pastor, Pastor Bill(who is an elder, I suppose) led worship and the study/discussion(we don't really do sermons I guess, we all discuss together what we are reading). Us four girls were sitting in the back row and in front of us were the elcerly couple of my church(sweetest couple I've ever met!). And every time we'd go through a song Betty would turn around and say something like "That was just beautiful, girls." or "You ladies sounds like angels." It was so sweet. The four of us were all in choir, and all could sing rather well. So it was really fun. Plus, two of us know how to harmonize, me doing alto harmony, and Aryelle doing soprano harmony. :) Bill asked us to come up afterward and sing the song with him to the rest of the church. It was fun! He wants my friends to come back and do a performance for the Christmas Sunday. Do a little quartet. I'm guessing it'll be a Trio though, because we practically had to twist Jen's arm to get her to sing with us. She's very shy. I won't push her to come on Christmas and sing in front of my church. But we had a good time!
Hmm, I think I'll go make some tea too! I'm really craving Early Grey!!
Good night! I'll talk to you later :)
PS: I'm so glad I've been able to remember to continue to come her everyday and try to post. :) I'm glad that you won't be alone on here anymore :)

You really can not imagine what it means to me to have you here JJ. I look forward to our talks each day.
You have indeed been doing wonderfully.
I do wish I could have heard you and your friends sing. I would imagine that was quite a blessing
for the couple in front of you and how nice it was that you went to church, Thank you JJ for
telling me about that. You are truly a nice person.
This cooler weather does make a person want their tea. We went to town today and it has rained
all day long. We were a bit soggy when we got home and the first thing we did was put on the
tea kettle. We drank that while we put away the groceries and now I have on my comfy robe ( dry
at last ) and we are having our second cup of tea. You need to be able to sit down and enjoy your tea.
I have lots of groceries to put away but I fully intend to enjoy my tea first
Sounds like you took really good care of your friends JJ.. You are a very special person.
