Hey! I'm back. It's good to see that JJ is around now too :)

I don't have internet access at the house I'm living in right now, so I haven't been online much at all the last couple of months. I'm at the library and actually need to take care of some other stuff but wanted to drop in for a bit at least.

I'm not really sure where to start lol...

I had an INCREDIBLE time in Slovenia. I'll have to tell you more about that when I have more time though.

After getting back to the states, Jacqueline and I spent the next week moving up to Wisconsin. We've been living in Wisconsin for over a month now.

She is loving her job and doing very well at it. She gets lots of good feedback from her superiors too. She's pretty tired by the end of her week(she works 7 days on, 3 days off, 7 days on, 4 days off), but it's worked out so we normally get to spend quite a bit of time together on her days off and we can make sure to do things that are relaxing so she doesn't get completely exhausted.

I started a new job 3 weeks ago. I sell AT&T U-Verse. It's pretty cool, and I think I'll be able to make decent money doing it. It also has a pretty flexible schedule so that I can work around Jacqueline's schedule, and church, and am hoping to start school again too.

It's been pretty crazy with everything going on, and I've been really busy... not sure that's going to change anytime soon lol. But everything is going great and I've been really blessed.

Oogy, how great to hear from you and I have missed you so much. It was very lonely here for awhile but it is great having JJ back now.

I can hardly wait to hear about your trip to Slovenia, I do hope you will email some pictures. It does sound like you and Jacqueline have things set up nicely and I am so glad you found a job you like and that you are going back to school.

Will you be getting internet soon. You would really be surprised how much I have missed you but I did believe you would check back in because you said you would.

Have you found a church you are really happy with, I know the one you left was special to you.

Things are good here, I am a little bit tired of summer weather but all and all it has been fairly wet and cool.

That sounds like a nice work schedule to me, the 4 days off gives you time to really relax and enjoy your time off. How nice that you can adjust your schedule to hers.

Thank you Oogy for checking in -- I have really really wondered how you were doing. I got really used to having you around. It was just the two of us for such a long time.

I will be looking for the long post about your trip :)

JJ, -- I know I have been missing but I have a good reason -- our router went out and we had to replace it and I have been offline too. It seems everything is working again and I am back !

I really wanted to post yesterday about your first day of College -- it sounds like it went very well
and that would be a class I would enjoy. Do you go to school all 5 days a week or I guess I should just ask what your schedule is like.

I know you must miss high school, I enjoyed your high school years and hearing all about your adventures.
I really liked the trip to Canada and I seem to remember talk of some pictures :)

Yes please send the pineapple chicken recipe. I will give that a try.

I really am sorry I was away but it could not be helped ! I was in shock to check in here and see so many post I had not read -- I was sooooooo happy.

It was just me for so long and this is much much better indeed.

I think it's great to have you back, too, Oogy. :) I didn't know that you were in Slovenia. That's so cool!!

Congrats on the new job!! I'm trying to get a job... It's kind of difficult right now. :

That's OK, GL!! It's not like you were gone for a week or something. I figured you were probably having some computer trouble. :)

Funny you should mention those pictures because my dad was finally able to get those pictures up. Now, I just have to get them onto my laptop. We were ruined they might be ruined, because when we went camping my sister dropped the camera in the river... : What a goof. But luckily it didn't affect the chip :D And my diad finally got the pictures up. I don't know how since we can't find the adapter. BUt I'll ask him if he can get them on my computer. :)

I will send the recipe later today after classes. I don't have time right now. :)

My first day did go very well. So far I like my professors. There is one I haven't met yet, but I'll have her tomorrow. Ok so my schedule looks like this:
Monday: Beginning Drawing- 8:00am-10:20am, History- 12:30pm-1:50pm
Tuesday: Communications- 9:30am-10:50am
Wednesday: Beginning Drawing- 8:00am-10:20am, History- 12:30pm-1:50pm
Thursday: Communications- 9:30am-10:50am, English 8:00pm-9:50-pm

No class on Friday! Yay! :)

OK, so I gotta get going. I'll talk to my dad about those pictures either today or tomorrow, depending on when he's off work. And I'll email that recipe tonight :)

Thanks for understanding JJ. I am so glad to have company here I do not want to be the one missing !

It is hard to believe that the pictures survived. I sure am glad they did.

Is Steph still living at home ?

Thanks for the recipe -- no hurry and I will remind you if you forget :)

Sounds like you have a really good schedule. Communications, that is interesting -- what are you thinking
about doing with that -- I could be wrong but it seems like Oogy's friend has a degree in some sort of communications.

It is storming here --- yes JJ lots of rain -- and the electricity is flickering -- I had better post this while I can.

I will send the recipe when I'm finished with this post :)

Yeah, Steph is still at home. She plans on joining the army in December, but she has to lose some weight first. She's taking 6 different exercise classes at college, and I think that'll help her a lot, along with the fact that she's eating healthier foods. I think 6 classes are gonna be a bit overwhleming, and she is gonna get worn out fast. I predict she might drop one or two.

Well, there's a few different Communications classes. There's Public Speaking, Advocacy and Argument, Interpersonal Communication, and Intercultural Communication. There might be more, but I'm not sure. I'm taking advocacy and argument.

I'm so glad the pictures survived too!! All of mine did, but all the rest after mine didn't!! I got lucky.

I envy you. It's so hot outside. I got in my car after class and it felt like a Sauna. I'm gonna turn the fan on now.

And now I will log into my email, and send you that recipe. :)

I do not understand why Steph is so determined to join the Army -- why not take 1 exercise class and get an education.

I am going to try to find the Chicken Sauce but I have never seen it. Thanks for the recipe and I use Splenda
all the time, in pies and everything. I would use boneless skinless chicken breast though, we do not care for dark meat. The recipe sounds good -- thank you JJ.

You would love the weather here noe, it rained all morning and the temperature was 62 degrees. The forecast is for lows in the 50tys even. It is very fall like and her it is the 20 th of August. I am very very happy for the cool weather. Even if we do get some heat back it won't last long.

Thanks for explaining about the communications classes. Are you still planning on teaching.

I'm not much of a dark meat person, either. I prefer the chicken breasts.

She hates school? She can't stand going to school, she can't stand the people. She's had kind of a bad experience with high school and college both. She's had a lot of problems with people, and drama, and a lot of people have taken advantage of her. It's just been bad. So she looks at education as a bad thing. Plus, she thinks she's stupid, and can't learn anything. Now matter how many times we try to convince that she's actually really smart, she doesn't believe. She has a very low self-confidence, as well as self-esteem. And she's insecure. Apparently, in her eyes the army is the answer. She thinks the more she challenges herself and pushes herself over the limit the stronger she'll be. But if she pushes to much, she's going to fall apart. I'm worried about her. A LOT.

... I want rain so bad!!!!!!!!! The heat is driving me insane...

I do still plan on teaching English. At MSJC, they don't have English as a major. So I was thinking about getting my AA in Liberal Arts(which includes English in it), and then transfer and Major in English. I haven't decided whether I want to get my Bachelor's and teach at high school or lower, or go for my Master's and teach at college. Both of those sound great. But I don't know which one sounds better.

Oh dear JJ, I think I am very worried for Steph too. If she can not handle school I would think the Army
would destroy here -- how in the world does she think she can handle that. Basic training alone -- oh well,
I will pray for her and hope she finds a place where she feels good about herself soon.

I think you have very good and attainable goals JJ. You have so many skills and can surely find a wonderful
career in teaching, what ever level you choose.

You would love it -- it is 63 degrees -- supposed to be low humidity today with a high in the low 80 tys. It truly is fall like. I can hardly believe it myself -- I am truly thankful for such amazing weather in August. Sunday
morning is going to be in the 50 tys -- unbelievable.

No rain for a few days, just cool and wonderful. Sadly severe storms have hit some with this early cool weather
but we are fine here.

You are safe from the wild fires aren't you ?

Well, since I didn't know that there were any wild fires, yeah, I'm safe. I looked it up and the fires are more near Santa Barbara and La Brea. Fairly far to the north of me. :) No need to worry.

Thinks are seeming to look up today. The skies are gray!! But that doesn't mean anyhting around here. It could still be hot outside. But I haven't gone out yet. My sister's says it's warm. And it'll probably get warmer. Ugh... Oh well. The curse of living in S. Cali.

Yeah, I like my goals. They're simple, and they work for me. Haha. I like simplicity. :) I also have thoughts of writing on the side. I love to write, as you know, but I never seen to be able to finish a project. I hope that someday I'll finish that Dragon book I was writing. That one is probably the most important to me. Probably because it was the first. So, I'm thinking about minoring in either Literature or Creative Writing. But I can't decided yet.

There was a woman at my high school, a substitute, and she had majored in Tolkienology(or something to that effect). She was a really interesting person. Most students didn't like her because she was a really strict sub. But I liked her a lot. She was smart. And she didn't let the students take advantage of her because she's a sub. She had graduated suma cum-laude at her college. That's amazing!! She was so smart :)

Thank you for praying for my sis. She needs it. I've been praying for her too :)
