Of course it gives me more time to email you! Yay! Lol.

Yeah, I hope we keep the tradition going too. I love going to the river so much! You know it's funny, our parents are always talking about how after I move Steph and I movie out, and maybe Josh too and they'll only have little Donny, they should all just move in together. Save on expenses. Haha. That would be fun. My mom would drive everyone crazy though. Lol.

I have all four books, by the way. :) I bought them around ... march I think. Cause I had some spending money as well as a gift card. So I was able to buy all three(riddle, crow, singing)! Yay!! Half of my paycheck is always gonna be spent in the bookstore. At least that what my friend always say. Haha! Maybe they're right.

I stopped by my high school yesterday. They were doing "Get Your Act Together" day which is when the students come to get their schedules, and book, and pictures done. And all that jazz(I love that song...haha). Anyways, so I dropped by to see my friends and say hello to some of my old teachers. namely Mrs. Taylor my drama teacher. I love that woman! And I found out that they're doing A Midsummer Night's Dream for the fall play! Yay! And I get to help. Oh and judge the try outs. So fun!! I am so excited! :D Gosh, it's more funto me an alumni. I get to be involved with the pays without having to act!! YES!!

I got a new pair of glasses yesterday as back-up yesterday, cause my old ones were falling apart. Scratches all over, and the lenses constantly popping out. Ugh. But my new ones, surprisingly, aren't as sharp as my old ones. For some reason in really don't see as... crisp I guess with my new ones as I did with my old ones. Maybe the prescription is wrong. My contacts are OK though. Together they work really well. Haha! :D

I am so happy to hear that you have all 4 books -- I am so eager to hear what you think of the way it all ends.
I hope you really do have time for emailing me ( most important ) and reading when school starts !

Traditions are important. If I was involved in a tradition like you have at the river I would try to keep it going as well.

JJ that is wonderful that you are going to help at your "old school " that will be excellent for you and even better for the "younger" students. Wow JJ the college student going back to help the youngsters.
Where does the time go !

I am still reading Brisinger but a bit slowly -- I could not put Eragon down but this one -- it just does not grab your attention. I am going to keep reading for a bit, we will see.

The thing with Sloan was odd.

I agree. The thing with Sloan was really strange. I didn't really like it very much.

I don't think Brisingr really draws my attention at all. I'll probably finish it sometime. BUt not before I've finished my list of books I have to read, of which the Pellinor books are at the top. It's gonna be harder to read with classes starting nect week, as well as the play auditions, and then rehearsals. And still trying to find a job. But I'll make time. I have the weekends after all.

I wish my family had more traditions. :)

Now that sounds like my JJ, busy all the time. I know things are going to be very busy JJ :) If you have time after you email me and post I do hope you get to finish the Pellinor books.

I am still plodding along with Brisinger -- I haven't picked it up for 3 days now -- if it was a book I liked I would read some each day no matter how buys I was. I actually wish Paolini had left it a trilogy. I think I would be persuaded to finish it just to know how some of the things turn out but knowing he is calling it a cycle
makes less interested to get back into it. At this moment the idea of a 4 th book is not appealing at all.

I am doing laundry --- ( not fun ) but none the less i must get back to it for now.

So next week is the very beginning of college. WoW, that is a really big deal. I do hope you like your classes
and meet some interesting new people. I look forward to JJ : the college years :)

We should make a chronicles of my life!! Lol. "JJ: The Early Years". Speaking of my early years, my sister and I found our one and only home video. There's like 8 different clips or so from me at the age of 1 and 1/2 to about 7 or 8. It's really cute. I want to convert it into a DVD so we can save it over time. My sister and I were funny when were little. I was a spaz when I was two. Or at least in this video. In one of the clips we are watching an old clip(that's on this same video) on the tv. It's when Stephanie is three and my mom is having her sing songs. So, my dad asks us to sing more songs and I'm running and jumping and marching in circles yelling/singing badly at the top of my lungs "We Will Rock You" by Queen. It's hysterical!! You never would have known back then that I actually sing very well. Haha!

There's this really funny clip from a different house about 2 years later or so. Maybe a little more. And Steph and I are playing with our giant Great Dane(who's actually only about a year old at that point but huge), Heidi. She was really sweet. My mom says I was afraid of her, but I don't remember that. Stephanie loved her! There's this one point where she's sort of tickling Stephanie, who is laying on the ground. And then she just sort of lays across her. It's so funny!! It's like Stephanie was her puppy and she was playing with her. Later I'm playing tug-o-war with Heidi, and I slip and fall on my ankle, and all you hear is my dad say as the camera fades "Oh, oh my..." Like "Oh, gee" sort of. It's really cute. Then a second later I'm seen running around again, happy as a jay bird. Those are really fun clips to watch.

I'm not too excited at the notion of more books either. My friend, Danny, did say that Brisingr was fairly good. It wasn't bad. He said. But it wasn't as good as Eragon.

I like doing laundry... :) Do you ever hang dry clothes? I've always wanted to try that, just for kicks. But I don't have anything to hang it on.

You know I was reading a few pages back and there was this post where you mentioned hauling hay. And I said it sounded gruesome. Looking back, I don't know why I said that. Hauling doesn't sound gruesome... It sounds like hard work. But not gruesome. I mean, I know I'm a city girl. But most activities that you do on a farm or ranch land don't sound gruesome to me. I've always been the type more than willing to get dirty, and work hard. So, I don't know why I said it was gruesome. Maybe I didn't mean gruesome, maybe I meant hard. I don't know. It's weird. But I really don't think it's gruesome. I wish I could spend a day on a ranch or a farm or something and learn about working there. I wanna milk a cow!! If ever there was anything I could do, just one thing to learn at a farm or ranch, it would be how to milk a cow.

Anywho, places to go, people to see.

JJ the early years ! I loved hearing those recollections JJ.

I laughed so hard when you described hauling hay as gruesome. It is done twice each summer and not gruesome at. I think I posted about it back when you said that. They hay smells great, it is time spent with
friends and we haul hay from a beautiful spot. Farm equipment really does the work. It is not bad at all.

Being country folk we do have cloths lines out back. I sometimes line dry cloths if the weather is nice. It
smells great when you bring it in but towels and such are a bit rough. You would miss that drier feel. I like it for rugs and comforters and stuff if I am feeling ambitious. Using the dryer right there by the washer is surely easier. That stuff is heavy to carry outside when it is wet and of course there is the bird hazard to consider.

We are cooking fish and chicken on the grill tonight and I need to get started with my part.

That was a great post JJ, I am so glad you are back.

Yeah, I have let towels dry outside like lying over a chair. It does give it a rougher feel. I like my fabric softener :D One thing I don't like about the washer and dryer is they're loud. And the dryer heats up the area downstairs. And during the summer when we already can't run our AC lower then 76-ish or else it'll like blow a fuse(every house we've lived in for the past 12 years has had bad AC), it's makes staying downstairs uncomfortable. And then my dad hates the feeling of air blowing. So when he's in the same room we can't really turn on the fans. Which is even more irritating. I'm the total opposite. The colder it is and the harder the air flow, the better. I turn the AC in my car up to full blast when I'm driving. I can't stand still air. It usually feels stuffy to me.

I'm glad you liked my post. I just kept thinking of random things :)

Guess what I found out today!! My drama teacher from Calvary is a trekkie!! I was shocked. She didn't strike me as someone who who like Star Trek, but she loves the original series. She said when she was in junior high, she and her girlfriends would pretend to be the characters and she was always Bones. :) So fun!! I told her she should get together with my mom sometime and chat about it.

Chicken sounds good. I'm actually not a seafood fan, tho. I like crab, lobster, shrimp, and tuna. And that's about it.... I have been known to eat some frozen fish sometimes. There's this one brand my mom bought that I liked because it wasn't too fishy tasting. I like sushi rolls, tho. Not real sushi. The thought of eating raw fish makes me want to gag. But I dearly LOVE chicken. And lately I've been eating a lot of it. Whenever we go to a fast food place, like Carl's or Burger King, I get chicken burgers, bot hamburgers. I've always liked chicken. But lately, I prefer way over red meat. And pork is good too. :) Red meat is just not as good anymore. And chicken is SOOOOOO good. And leaner. My mom made her Pineapple Chicken tonight. She cooks chicken breasts or thighs(it depends on her mood) in a crockpot in chicken broth, pineapple juice, and Chicken Worcestershire sauce all day. Then about an hour or less before we eat, she adds rice, and pineapple chunks. It's really good!!!

That pineapple chicken sounds really good. Should I know more details. I love pineapple chicken. I never thought to do it in the crock pot. I eat primarily chicken. I have for a long time now. I like beef but I like chicken better and it is in fact the best for you so why not eat it !

Another trekkie -- that is good. There are a surprising number of them out there.

76 degrees and no fan allowed. I would roast. As you know I am like you and I enjoy it cool. I have our AC set on 65. I keep the ceiling fans going all the time. As hot as it is there I do not know how you manage.
At least you can use a fan in your room. I just do not feel good when I am hot -- and it makes me cranky.
we are in an out so much with the animals and all we really need it set on 65 to keep it nice in here.

We would get along fine, eat chicken and keep it very cool.

Now I am wanting Pineapple chicken.

I do not eat fish --- HR fixes fish for him and chicken for me. I never get tired of chicken.

Does school start Monday, are you excited -- are you nervous at all ?

I try to do laundry early in the morning -- it does heat up the house !

You know, I could probably email you the recipe if you'd like. :)

Chicken is the best, isn't it? My sister can't stand it. Unless it's fried, or orange chicken and even then she just tolerates it.

Yeah, thankfully I have an AC unit in my room. But lately I don't like hanging out in my room by myself. I wish my dad would let me take my computer up there. He originally told me when we moved all the desks down into the den that when I was eighteen I could move it back up into my room if I wanted to. Now he just says "We'll see." And as all eighteen year olds know, that means no. Haha! I'm running the fan in the den right now on high, and even though he's only about 13 feet away from me, it doesn't bother him because he's in the other room. So there are ways to get around my dad's stinginess.

Haha, we would get along great! We could sit and talk all day in 65 degree air, and be perfectly comfortable. And swap chicken recipes. :) My mom only has a few recipes involving chicken, though. And two of them are shake-and-bake. Haha. But let's see, she has pineapple chicken, chicken soup, hawaiian chicken, and sesame ginger chicken. The last two she cooks on the grill. Oh and she sometimes back a homemade version of cordon blue. Unfortunately, the frozen kind is better in my opinion. Oh she made curry chicken and rice one time. That was good. I love curry! I don't think I'll ever get tired of chicken either. :)

Yes, school's starts on Monday. I'm excited and nervous. And I've had some randoms dreams about school. Like a couple weeks ago I dreamt that I was in classes but it was my high school. Even though it was meant to be college. And I got pickpocketed. That was weird. Then a few nights ago I dreamt that I was late for my English class, but it was in the morning(my english class is in the evening). In that dream, all my classes were in the mall. I think by subconscious was mixing up my anxiety for missing class and my hope of working at a Ladie's Clothes store in the mall. Lol. In that dream, I also forgot to go to my art class. Then last night I dreamt about classes again, and again they were at my high school. It was weird. I think, subconsciously I just don't want to let go of Calvary. It was a big part of my life. Out of the five different schools I attended, I was at Calvary the longest, and the majority of my happy memories with friends, and with school activities are there. I loved that place. I met a lot of good people. And it was just a very happy time, most of the time. It'll always have a place in my heart. And I'm a little anxious about going someplace new. Being in class with people I don't know is a weird concept. I've been going to school with the same people for six years.

I usually put my laundry in at night. My parents are usually still awake, so it won't keep them up, or they're at work so it won't keep them up. It doesn't bother Steph or me. The AC units in our room tend to block out any sound coming from the rest of the house. And since I've had the AC in my room so long, if I turn it off at night, I don't sleep as well. The sound lulls me to sleep. It's weird. I don't usually like sleeping over at friends house, cause it won't be as cool, and it'll be really quiet. Plus, I mumble in my sleep and sometimes groan. It's kind of funny, actually. Sometimes if I'm just barely conscious, I can hear it. I don't know why it happens. But it's not something I can control. Thankfully the only person who usually sleeps over, Sara, isn't bother by it. She sleeps like a log. Haha. I'm much more of a light sleeper.

And now Scout is demanding my attention. And now I have to type with one hand cause she's sitting on the other one. Oh wait I can do both. Yay. It's hard typing with one. She's four now. And very fickle. She wants you to give her attention but when you reach down to pet her, she runs away. It's really funny. But she's a pretty cat. She sheds like no other though. Well, not as bad as fat cat, but close enough. And off she goes. She only stays for a few minutes. If I make a sudden move, or if I jostle her where she's sitting, she's gone. It's funny. So fickle.

Haha, I didn't realize how long my last post was.

Well, I just got back from my very first college class. Beginning Drawing. It was fun. We didn't really do anything but talk. And I don't really have any homework except to get some supplies. I'm really glad I signed up for that class. It'll be a good, calming, easy way to start off every week. Every monday morning, just art class. Later today, at 12:30 I have History class. That should be OK. I'm not really sure. The type of history we're going over isn't really my style. But maybe next semester I can get into the kind I like. Medieval and ancient. I'm especially interested in like greek mythology, and then like the era of King Arthur and such. Two totally different era's in history, I know. But still. It's fun!

Tomorrow I only have one class. Communications: Advocacy and Argument. I'm not really looking forward to it. I can tell it's gonna be a lot of work. But that's OK. I think that one and my English class, which is every Thursday, will be that hardest out of my four classes.
