Ben says he wants to get a Welsh Corgi, if and when we ever get a house together. That's his compromise for us getting a cat. But I don't really like dogs, and they aren't very practical if you haven't got much space. Plus a cat and a dog seems slightly excessive to me. But then, I've only ever had one cat at a time.

I have always thought Ben a sensible young man, a Welsh Corgi is an excellent choice, smallish but very intelligent and trainable. They are very appealing and I especially like the blue merle. They are so smart and alert. Yes a very good choice indeed Ben ! Cats, well if you must. HR likes cats, I am not quite sure why. Once they are out of the cute kitten stage, well then they are just "cats" ! I have never seen the appeal. Dogs are friends, companions and even help mates. They really care about their humans. Wy is sitting here now helping me with my posting. The "cat", David ( the only one in the house and that is because he hates it outside ) is in the back asleep near his food dish. He could care less what we do as long as he gets fed. We have had him 10 years, he came here a stray ( kitten ) and I do not believe he would miss us one bit as long as someone fed him. Our dogs are devoted, loving, and great company. Yes they would and do miss us very much when we are gone -- even if it is just to town.

A dog is a must, a cat is an ornament !

I bet I am in trouble now : o

I really like your new signature Kara.

Ok. So I've been thinking about it, and it's not really small dogs I hate. Because I agree that corgi's are actually good dogs, and cute. I think it's just Chihuahuas. They are the most irritating dog. There are the rare exceptional few of course that are really cool, but mostly they're just yippie bratty things. Most of my friends, and family and I call them Rats. But I like rats, so they don't really deserve that title. I just really don't like those dogs. But yeah I thin that's pretty mucht he only dog I don't really like. Except for maybe poodles. Sometimes they're just scary looking...

I also have a fondness for Dalmations, Pinschers(again, sp?), German Sheperds, Australian Sheperds, Golden Retrievers, and Labradors. Oh, and, of course, Newfoundlands, and St. Bernards. Can't for them. Epsecially St. Bernards.

I was looking up pictures of Australian Sheperds and found this. Doesn't the dog on the left remind you of the dog Logan and his family found... ummm? Cache? I think that was his name. But with a little bit longer hair.

3 cats is two too many, in my opinion. But I miss Chloe. She was just starting to warm up to more people. In the first year we got here she loved everyone and everyone loved her. But after we moved and then got Gabriel, she became really aloof, and didn't like anyone to hold her or pet her. Except for Steph. But over the past year or so, she's been warming up to everyone, and being nice again. And now she's gone.

Hey, Kara, your signature is a line in one of my favorite songs. In Christ Alone. It's a really good song!

Well, TTFN!

I love that song too, I call it Oogy's song because he is the first one to tell me about it. It is wonderful and I wondered if that is where Kara got the signature. I REALLY like the signature.

I need a new signature.

I do not think Cache looks like an Australian Shepherd except that he is red merle. He is a tall long legged dog. He looks more like a Catahoula stock dog to me.

I do not think I would get a Chihauhuas ( besides I never can spell it ! ) but they are good dogs for some. I guess dogs are like people to me, it depends on their personality. I think you like fluffy dogs JJ.

I am sorry about Chloe, she wasn't that old was she ?

I like Tigger.

It depends on the cat. The cat we have now won't sit on our laps, on only likes so much petting, but she does like us around. If you're at home during the day, she'll follow you around on a good day, and ignore you on a bad.

A dog is a must, a cat is an ornament !

A little. But I can forgive you.

I really like your new signature Kara.

Its one of my favourite songs. Only problem is, I can never sing it right through, because it always makes me cry. My sister says it does the same thing to her, and that it could say it any better.

I agree with JJ. Chihuahuas aren't very cool. I generally call them rats too, but Ben actually likes them. I've met one cool chihuahuas, and it had markings like a rotweiller (sp?) and it was called Brute. It was funny.

It is a truly wonderful song, it really blesses me.

We had one cat I really loved, his name was Acer and he truly did have an awesome personality. We miss him still.

Thanks for being forgiving Kara, I really do love all animals. If a cat is what works for you then a cat you should have !

We do have 3 you know.

I truly am dog person, my dog Wy is always with me, I love her so much.
