The new job sounds like a lot better deal than Walmart. The extra money and having Sundays. I am truly very pleased that you like it. Did you tell me it is a customer service sort of job ?

I am curious about the cross, I like the sound of it, are you going to have a picture of it on your website or could you email me a picture. It sounds like something I would like.

It's a tech support job. I do tech support for businesses with Verizon dsl service. Basically try to fix the problem over the phone(have to walk the people through how to do the troubleshooting), and if we can't fix it over the phone, we submit a ticket to our central office to have a tech look into the problem.

I'll have to find a camera to borrow, but I will put a picture of it on my site once I've got some made and ready to sell. I've made a couple of them, and went ahead and bent enough nails to make like 15 more of them, just have to wrap the wire around them and do some of the finishing touches.

Tech support, oh that is just right for you, you seem to me kind, patient, and well informed. It requires that to deal with people like me that do not have a clue most of the time what is going on with tech things. I do not know if you realize, since you are very good with tech things, how much that means to people. Good for you Oogy ! I think they are fortunate to have you.

I am so anxious to see the crosses, I can not imagine what they must look like but it sounds like a wonderful idea. Please get a picture as soon as you can, I am so curious. I wish I could loan you my camera.

It has surely been a pleasure to find post from you here at Lilbro, I am always happy to see your name when I check in. Thanks OOgy.

The forecast is for ice storms again -- better charge up the batteries in the DS, I have a number of good books so I am ready if it gets slick. It was so nice yesterday, what strange weather patterns we are having, strange even for Oklahoma.

I have been playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village quite a bit but I am a little tired of it now. I think it is time to go back to reading books for awhile.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I made a few more of the crosses today at work. I did the main part anyway. They still need to be dipped in a clear water resistant coating so they won't rust. I'm actually testing the first one with that now(gonna just do one at a time until I am sure I've got the process right). Then I'll have to put the leather strip on to make it a necklace, and package them and they'll be done.

I think I'm going to ask my dad to bring his camera next time he's here... which will probably be not this weekend but the next.

I did my taxes the other day and am getting a big refund(at least it seems big to me... I'm not sure what's normal since I've never done taxes before), I'm hoping after that I'll have enough to order two t-shirt designs printed.

I'm pretty excited because my next goal after starting up was to have at least 3 shirts for sale and now that looks like it might be within reach soon.

Any refund is a good one.

3 shirts designs, it does seem you are on track and with the crosses you will have quite a few more options. I am very interested in the crosses, do you know yet what you are going to sell them for ? Will you have a black one ?

That is pretty nice that you can work on things like while you are getting paid for your real job !

I think the tricky part about the crosses would be bending the nails to form the loops at the top.

We watch bull riding on the weekend and it is almost time. I guess I had better go and let the dogs out and get my cup of tea : )

I think I'm going to sell them for about $7.50 Right now, I only have one black one and it's already been claimed, but I ordered more supplies and the package was delivered while I wasn't here, so I just have to wait until the apartment office opens on Monday and I should have black wire again.

It is really cool that I can do it while I'm at my real job... it's almost like getting paid more in a way. Plus having these will give me something to do on slow days(though it's normally not all that slow).

Yeah, that is probably the hardest part, and then doing the second bend on those same nails without messing up the loops at the top.

I messed up a few nails because I didn't have the right kind of needle nose pliers for it, but once I got some better ones it's easier. It is still hard sometimes to keep it consistent.

I imagine with practice though that'll get better... and I'll start making them faster. I'm already getting faster and the quality is getting better.

Consider your next black one spoken for as well. $ 7.50 is fine with me. Anything like that gets easier with practice and yes, in beading or anything like that the right tools make all the difference.

I think being able to do something like the cross project at work is wonderful It sounds to me like you have a real bonus there since you are getting paid anyway !

Let me know when you have the black cross ready and I will mail you a check after you decide the final cost.
Or do you have paypal set up. We have that too.

Do you enjoy making the crosses ? I am not very good about doing the same thing over and over.

I am going to try making one something like that -- I am going to get me a variety of horse shoe nails the next time I go to the coop.
