We didn't really get the snow here, just got the really cold weather. Supposedly it snowed at my apartment complex while I was at work(someone who was here at the time sent a message to one of my coworkers), but it never snowed at either of the places I worked and wasn't snowing here by the time I got home. Kinda funny since it's just a couple minutes of driving away. A town about half an hour away apparently got quite a bit of snow.

I wish we had gotten the snow here... windy weather this cold without snow or anything just doesn't seem right lol. I like snow, but don't really like the cold cause it makes my arthritis act up.

Not a whole lot happening around here lately... waiting for Saturday to get here. A girl I've known for forever, but haven't seen a lot of lately is meeting me here then we're gonna drive down to Fort Worth and meet my oldest sister and one of her friends. We're gonna eat out and then go to a Casting Crowns concert. It'll be nice not just to have a day off but to spend it with people I like and listen to some awesome music live.

Good morning Oogy, we got quite a lot of snow -- it is beautiful. I will email you a couple of pictures later.

Is this the same friend you told me about a long time ago in email. That does sound nice to get to go to the concert with your sister and a good friend. I am going to have to listen to some of the music by Casting Crowns.

I thought of you Sunday, they sang your song at church -- I love that song.

I hope you will post about the concert, hopefully JJ will be back soon, her computer is down at the moment -- I am not even getting my usual email from her, I miss it too.

I understand about the cold damp weather and the arthritis -- not good at all. I am feeling it too. It is bad for you to have to deal with that so young.

I just got back from the concert and it was awesome. There was a lot of construction going on around the convention center though so it took us a while to find a way to get there and then took even longer to find a way to the parking garage. That made us late like 20-30 minutes late, which was apparently enough to miss the first performer(John Waller... I've never heard him before), and part of the second(Leeland, a fairly new group that is pretty good). The main group we came for was Casting Crowns though and they by far had the longest performance(the others just played a couple of songs).

I've always loved the words to all of the Casting Crowns songs, but hearing them live somehow makes them even more powerful. It was really an awesome experience. Seeing that many people coming together to worship God is really cool.

They were promoting an organization called World Vision which brings clean water to villages in Africa and then I believe they also work towards getting better schooling in those villages after they have clean water. It sounds like they do some really good work. I'm thinking about becoming a monthly sponsor for that now.

And yes, it was the same friend that I told you about in that email. She didn't end up getting to come though. Apparently her professors all dumped a lot of homework on her and she was really stressed out about it last night, so I ended up just meeting my sister and her friend down there. I was pretty disappointed, and it sounded like she was too.

If you haven't listened to Casting Crowns before, you should. I bet you'd like them.

I thought that sounded like the same friend, I would imagine she was terribly disappointed. the timing will be right one of these days.

The concert does sound like a big success though. I am so it was as good as you had anticipated. I think it is really nice that you were able to go with your sister.

I do want to listen to some of their songs, when you have the time could you recommend a CD to me. I think you have some idea what I like.

Yikes, big storms on the way, 50 mile and hour winds and hail -- oh well just another day in the ever changing OK weather. yesterday it was 79 degrees, now that just is not right for February and now here comes the appropriate cold air to bash the hot air and look out below : ) Stay safe everyone.

I wonder if any of that weather will come this way. We got a little rain this morning, but it's still warm outside(for February especially).

Casting Crowns have 3 cd's. Their first was titled Casting Crowns, then came Lifesong, and recently The Alter and the Door. All three are packed with great songs(I can't think of a Crowns song I don't like). So I think you'll be happy with any of them, but if I had to recommend one for you, I'd probably say Lifesong.

We just had a terrible little spell of wind and rain and hail ! I think it is moving to the East hough. Yes it has been ridiculously hot but I think it is already getting cooler after that last storm. I hope that was the last of it !

I am looking forward to getting the CD. I will report back when I find it.
