I do wish I could find someone like you to talk with when I am shopping, someone that is helpful and willing to take the time to explain. Sadly that is not usually the case. Walmart should appreciate you ! I have heard they do not wish you to go over 40 hours. As long as you are in your regular job are you liking it -- pretty much -- as work goes anyway ?

I did not get to play much over the weekend -- we were rather busy but I do look forward to continuing the game, it is about to really get interesting now ! I do hope that you get to continue on -- have you completed
the game already -- I have lost count of how many times I have played through it -- so many it is very easy for me but I still enjoy it.

Yeah, I do like my job for the most part. Which is kind of funny, because I'm starting to think I'm not going to be there a whole lot longer...

I beat it at least once, but I don't remember anything about the game really.

You know I have to ask, why will you not be there much longer -- is it the shirt shop ?

Yeah, I have a feeling it won't be long after I've got it all started that I'll have to devote my time to the shop and won't be able to work at WalMart anymore.

That makes excellent sense to me. Is the shop going to be where you are now -- closer to home or somewhere in between. Do you intend to have a store front operation or just on line sales -- if that was the case you could set it up anywhere -- it sounds like you are pretty serious now.

Well, the original idea was to just sell shirts online and to basically run it out of my apartment. In the past few weeks though, I've felt like God was leading me to make it more than that. So now I'm looking for an available place that I could set up shop hopefully not real far from where I live now.

Then I suppose you will sell stuff direct then and the college should give you a good customer base, if you are going to do the work making the shirts and handle sales as well as an online presence I would say you are going to be busy.

I wish much success Oogy.

Thanks Les :) I am having some difficulty finding a place to rent though. All the places I find disappear pretty quick and have a pretty high price. I think it's because this is a pretty rapidly developing city. They're building a WalGreens right across the road from WalMart, I'm curious to see what happens there, but I only see that speeding up the expansion of the city. Things seem to kind of explode the more large chains there are in a town, plus there are a handful of good sized hotels going up in the same area.

So I'll just have to trust that if this really is what God wants for me, something will show up(and it would need to show up pretty soon too lol).

It does sound like D is growing -- I have not been there in quite awhile and I remember it as a rather quiet town except for the college.

Can you not start the business by just working out of your apartment and then expand or is that you are planning to create the shirts yourself -- I still do not understand if you plan to do it all.. I do not remember if you have done silk screen before. If not it seems you would need some time to get the hang of it. Even if you are going to make them if you have a spare room it still seems like you could tarp the floor and
set up a table for the screen and squeegy scraper thing and turn out a few shirts and see how they sell. The
designs you have only require a few basic colors. Your supplies could then be transferred to a shop if you need to expand soon. You could almost make the first few shirts and then make the rest as they were ordered to get started. You could be your own walking advertisement. It would keep your investment low and allow you time to build a business that was self sustaining.

Well, like I said, the original idea was to work out of my apartment, but I really feel like God is leading me to make it more than that. Yes, I do plan to do the screen printing myself, though I'm not 100% sure yet that that part of the plan will be in place by October 13th. It's hard being the close and not knowing, but I'm just leaving it in His hands and trying to be flexible and do what I can until He shows me more of His plan.

To do the silk screening, I would need a dark room where I could make the screens and also rinse them out. I might could use my bathroom for some of that, but it would stain the bathtub. Plus, to do anything with more than one color and have it line up right on the shirt you need more than just a basic thing and it probably wouldn't fit in my bedroom.

I've only done the simple kind of screen printing you do in like an art class, but nothing else really. That's part of what makes this kind of scary, but I truly feel it's what God wants me to do. I've always been super fast at learning things(I was told at my job I learned everything faster than they'd ever seen). Plus, I don't believe God would tell me to do something I can't do if I'm willing to devote my time and effort into learning it. That's part of why I am working so hard to get things moving though, I would like to have some time to get some practice in on the equipment.
